Winter Masque

I started with a Blank Pony as a base and sculpted the corset, boots, and armbands with apoxie sculpt. I then painted those with Testors Acrylics. I rehaired her with some wondeful curly black hair from Michaels. I wanted to do something wavey or curley but I didn't want to order a whole new thing of hair online. The bat wings and mask were created using sculpy and painted with acrylics.

I was originally going to use some beads for the gems on the armbands and "hand" but they ended up not working quite the way I wanted them to so I used apoxie sculpt instead. It worked out quite well.

This is by far my greatest work in pony art, I believe. I really worked on my sculpting this time and keeping everything clean and nice. Although the original art doesn't necessarily show a corset, I thought that a corset style top would be more interesting. I was also going to create a cape for her, but I forgot to put the magnets on the inside of the pony before I reattached the head and started rehairing. The way the plastic is on these things I have to boil them to put them back together again.
